Founded in 1952, China National Light Industrial Products Import and Export Corporation (hereinafter referred to as ChinaLight) is a well-established state-owned corporation featuring great financial strength, good business reputation and bright prospect with principal businesses covering four major areas--pulp and paper business, natural resources business, international trade (such as imports & exports), and financial services (such as investment, financing and capital operation). In 2008, ChinaLight was incorporated into China General Technology (Group) Holding Limited in an effort to leverage mutual strengths, rationalize & optimize the allocation of resources, continuously explore new fields and create new strengths.
Being the largest supplier in China's pulp market with more than thirty years of operation history, currently, ChinaLight's annual importing volume of pulp is accounting for 25% of the total circulation volume in China's pulp import market. The pulp types under the operation consist of bleached softwood pulp, bleached hardwood pulp, unbleached pulp, chemi-mechanical pulp and rayon pulp, as well as a variety of renowned brands from major pulp production countries and regions including Canada, United States, Chile, Brazil, Russia, Northern Europe and Southeast Asia. ChinaLight have exerted an extensive influence in the business circles with warehouses and distribution channels spreading across the country.
Natural resources business is the newly-developed business of ChinaLight. With the innovative operation mode, the natural resources business has been developed into an ever-increasing sector with certain market influence, including copper, polyethylene, polypropylene, timber, marble, aquatic products, chrome, manganese, borax, rubber and coca beans, etc. Wherein, the importing volume of copper concentrate accounts for over 20% of the domestic import trade market, and the importing volume of latex ranks No. 1 in China.
As one of the leading importers and exporters of light industry products, daily consumer products and finished industrial products in China, ChinaLight boasts for its sound market reputation, extensive business channels, solid customer foundation and stronger market competitiveness. Through the continuous optimization and innovation, ChinaLight has been granted the proprietary IPR and national patent for its new type of porcelain grinding medium products, making it the world's largest producer of porcelain grinding medium. In addition, ChinaLight also serves as a product agent for a host of domestic and international leading manufacturers and provides individualized and specialized services for both businesses and consumers.
Currently, ChinaLight and its subsidiaries have all passed ISO9001: 2000, the international quality control certification system.
